Again

When you walked in again,
Stranger from a forgotten time
And opened your bag to take out
The song of birds in trees,
The chorus of crickets at night,
A few ripples from the river
from a boat long gone,
Half eaten mangoes from a tree
That once held a swing that could
rise till our dreams,
I offered you my silent song -
Silence in repentance for the  years we lost
Going our separate ways,
A song for those days that you brought along
When you walked in again.

just rain

Heavy clouds have pulled the sky down. I am waiting for it to just rain, for distance to be restored to my sky, for infinity to turn up and put things in perspective.

Start Writing

I have always wanted to write Each time we spoke I felt I had something more to say. I have a few thoughts that don't require your response, a few words that beg to be heard nevertheless, a lot of silence in between. I have small discoveries to share sometimes- like in the ward today, when I heard my neighbour recite from the Quran I thought that it is in our suffering that we reach out and pray. And start writing.
